Boracay beats Santorini, Greece
and Bali, Indonesia as World’s Best Island. This amazed me so I decided that I
would go for paper presentation at the First International Young Scholars
Conference hosted by De La Salle University Manila on May 17-19, 2013.

I really wanted to visit Boracay.
I have often read and heard comments that Bora is famous for its white sand ,
luxurious hotels, bars, relaxing spas, and challenging water adventures. Sound exciting indeed! Bora
is often featured in television and magazines and I just could not wait when
would I spend my summer in Bora. And
when I received a letter of acceptance from DLSU Manila that my paper on Tausug
and Kagan legends was accepted for paper presentation, I said to myself, “ This
is now the time to be in the world’s best island”. A colleague of mine also
sent her abstract, but unfortunately, she did not receive a letter of acceptance.
I invited also some of my colleagues to join me in the conference but due to
financial constraint, they did not make it.

I have been a beach lover since
time immemorial ( just kidding. Our house is near the beach. The bay is my
playground and I am not exaggerating.) I have enjoyed the beaches in Davao del
Sur, Samal Island, Saranggani, Surigao, and Camiguin. And this time, I would
invade Bora!
My summer in Bora was not boring.
The energy from my colleagues in USEP Obrero and Tagum kept me burning plus my
international friends from Australia, Norway, Malaysia, Japan, India, Indonesia were
always there to complete the crowd.

The Boracay Eco-village
Convention Center accommodated the paper presenters and researchers all over
the world. It is a 20-minute ride from our hotel in Station 2. We stay in a
hotel located at the back of the famous La Carmela de Boracay. Our
co-participants often asked, “Where are you staying?” And I replied, “La
Carmela.. at the back of La Carmela.” We only paid Php 1, 500 a night and it is
an air-conditioned room, has two beds,
and toilet. Not bad for a traveller. Thanks to Dr. Yee, a colleague from USEP
Obrero, for booking this hotel. I really
had a hard time where to stay and I always asked my friend, Lex who went to
Bora last March 2012, on where to stay but Lex just said to me, “ Sa Station 2
kuy. Mura didto. Station 2.”
Expensive. Luxurious. These were
the adjectives that I often heard from my friends who just spent their vacation.
And yes, I was shocked when we were about to ride a tricycle from La Carmela de
Boracay to the highway ( it is a just a five-minute walk) and the driver asked us
to pay Php 50. What on earth are they thinking! "Bat ang mahal? Ganyan ba kamahal ang sipa ang mga driver sa Bora?", Iko asked. Iko and I decided to walk. Iko
wanted to ride a tricycle because he wore a formal attire ( very formal : long
sleeve, pants, coat and tie) while I had just my polo shirt and pants. “ Sir,
ang daya mo. Bat ka naka ganyan lang? “ I smiled and replied, “ Comfortable ako
rito Sir eh.” From the highway, we took a tricycle to the venue and the driver
asked us to pay Php 100. That’s Bora anyway.

Boracay is one of the most popular beach destination in the Philippines with over 1 million tourists spot.It is the best place for recreation with family and even with relatives also for conference.I must say that it's more fun in the Philippines specially with the white sand beaches not just Boracay Island but also with the other island found in the Philippines.
Boracay is a place for tours,summer retreats,swimming or just plain relaxation. Boracay is one of the best place referred by Filipinos to foreigners or domestic tourist to go to. hotels,restaurants in Boracay is a must for you to experience while being accommodated by the hospitality of a Filipino employee. Boracay escapade isn't complete if you wouldn't enjoy the white sand , seashore ,clear sea waters and specially the fresh breeze;with your family and friends. so i say that Boracay is a hot spot that is a must to go too for it is a perfect paradise.

The article above tells us about Boracay being described as a place of beauty but costly.It is one of the most attractive places in the Philippines suited for vacations. The article "A Summer to Remember in Boracay(part one), tackled on how beautiful and expensive staying in Boracay. Somehow, many tourists and also the author visited it because of its beautiful scenes, relaxing spas, challenging water adventures and others. As I read the article, the author enjoyed his stay in Boracay with his colleagues from USEP Obrero and Tagum and his international friends from Australia, Norway, Malaysia, Japan, India, Indonesia. I think that anyone would come because boracay is a relaxing place. Though expenses in Boracay were expensive, they, the author still enjoyed their stay on a beautiful place which is called BORACAY .
The title to me indicates that the boracay is a place of nature where beauty is describe to be proud of that many people around the world go there to make a remembrance of their summer that once happen in a year that they celebrate it with their friends and families.A place where one can be at peace or know the happiness of enjoying the wonders of the world where you want to explore more places just like boracay.So I therefore conclude that boracay is one of the place Filipino people must be proud of their homeland that it was given here to provide us the knowledge that wherever we are there's a place in our land that can be describe as beautiful creation that we can visit anytime but it will cost us money to enjoy all the things in this place.

By just reading the title itself without reading yet the content,this article can catch an attention to the readers that "A SUMMER TO REMEMBER IN BORACAY (part1)" will be an exciting article.Readers will think that the author will have an unforgettable experience during his/her stay in that certain place.Thus,boracay is a good place to relax,though it's expensive,it's worth it because of it's natural beauty.

We all know that bora is one of the most beautiful beach here in the philippines because of its white sand and some relaxation, and it would really be a pleasure for a person to stay there even if just a moment of time.
The title infers that bora is a place where a person can make memories that will never be forgotten because of its entire beautiness and this place is very satisfying that makes it suit for famly and barkada bonding.

BORACAY also known as "BORA" is one of the fascinating beach and tourist attraction here in the Philippines. Aside from its beautiful white sand, bora is well-known for being a world's destination where can you relax,enjoy and feel the waves touches along the coast.
Some words I'd define bora was felt and experienced by Sir Sajed S. Ingilan. Based on his article entitled "A SUMMER IN BORACAY(part1)" , I imagine how beautiful bora is. I was also amazed because of the photos he posted. Aside from doing his research, he also enjoyed in meeting new friends from other part of the countries. Swimming in the beach and eating delicious foods,so his summer is not bored. All these memories signifies the summer of Sir Sajed S. Ingilan.
We need to preserve the beauty and the cleanliness of our tourist spots so that many tourists will visit the Philippines,because It's More Fun In the Philippines! :D
Based on the situation of Sir Sajed, I conclude that cherish each moment you have. Even you have a big purpose in making things, just enjoy what you are doing. Don't make things complicated, make it as your inspiration in life.

As Sir Sajed describe the beauty of the Boracay Island I was very amazed because we all know Boracay is very famous for its white sand and exciting water adventure. For sure, all the tourist visit Boracay have smile on there face before going home. If im going to describe Boracay in one word I can say that word is "PARADISE" its because you can find almost everything in this island. According to the title of the article, it implies the memories that the author experienced.
The happiness, the satisfaction, the joy the he felt during his vacation in Boracay because in the article it states that he really want to go in Boracay. As what we can see in his photos.
Boracay is really a beautiful place. It can make people amaze, feel the breeze of the wind. The white sand beach and the blue waters can make you crave to swim. And it is the “BEST ISLAND IN THE WORLD.” And we Filipino should be proud of what we have today. We should take care of what God has given to us. And because God has appointed us to be the the steward of His creation, We should be responsible of it.
I conclude that the author is really blessed. All that he desire are granted. The author should make his good memories as the “back-up” or strength when problems and trials comes on his way. Keep the faith and always make your life positive always. Being positive is the way to success!!

Boracay has large waves,strong winds year-round. As you can see the pictures above it was relaxing and romantic at the same time. According to the title "A Summer to Remember in Boracay," it would give us a hint that this article talks about the unforgettable experiences and memories of the author in his stay in Boracay. Boracay as a famous island which already received positive views, we can infer that this island is a very wonderful place where you can relax and have fun.
I conclude that the author together with his friends really enjoyed their stay in Boracay. "A SUMMER TO REMEMBER IN BORACAY" implies that the world's best island is so beautiful yet expensive. I think all of us wanted to go to Boracay for its alluring beauty has been featured in television ads, magazines and many advertisements.
According to my own understanding, the traveler enjoyed his vacation in Boracay. With its famous white sand, luxurious hotels, bars, relaxing spas, and challenging water adventures. What more could he ask for? Although this island is expensive, yet it is worth the price. I bet he experienced a fine accommodation and he enjoyed this unforgettable experience with his colleague. The traveler's lucky enough to step on the world's best island's white sand.
