Guidelines for the Portfolio in English 1 ( FINAL REQUIREMENT)

Your portfolio in English 1 showcases your journey since birth up to the present with emphasis on your experiences in learning English in this multicultural society. It contains the following :
1. A Cover page which has the following features : (a) a symbol that would symbolize your experience in learning English, (b) a meaningful title, (c) your name and course
2. A Letter to the Reader
3. A Table of Contents
4. Artifacts ( may contain the following:  )
     a. baby pic
     b. pic with your parents
     c. pic with your sisters and brothers
     d. your home
     e. childhood memories
      f. pre-school memories
      g. grade school activities ( nutrition month, buwan ng wika, closing program, quiz bee, etc)
      h. elementary graduation
       i. high school memories
       j. high school graduation
       k. FIRST .. first love, first date, first kiss, first cry, etc
       l. English Bridge Program
       m. First Year College Life
       n. English 1 Activities ( Most Difficult, Most Challenging, Boring Task, Creative Work, etc)
      o. English Exams
      p. Activities in other subjects
      Q. SPORTS
      r. Travel
      s. Church Activities
   THESE ARE JUST FEW OF THE SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PORTFOLIO. YOU MAY HAVE YOUR OWN CREATIVE TITLES. MAKE SURE ALSO THAT IN EVERY ARTIFACT, THERE MUST BE AN ESSAY. NO REQUIRED NUMBER OF SENTENCES.
ARTIFACTS MAY INCLUDE PICTURES, PAPER WORKS, LABORATORY WORKS, ETC.

5. My Corner. This part is an opportunity for you to express your thoughts, experiences, and dreams in life. Have a creative title of your four-five paragraph essay. You may include pictures.

6. Comments from Family and Friends . This section is allotted to your family and friends, at least 5 individuals. They will write their testimonies as to how you improve as a student, and as a person. Let them write freely. No required language. If you can take a picture of them, then that would be GREAT!
